Understanding Your Coverage
What Most Insurance Plans Cover at Urgent Care:
Urgent medical conditions requiring same-day treatment
Minor injuries like cuts, sprains, and burns
Illnesses including flu, infections, and respiratory conditions
Diagnostic testing such as X-rays, lab work, and rapid tests
Preventive care including vaccinations and flu shots
Important Coverage Information:
Co-pays & Deductibles: Your insurance plan determines your out-of-pocket costs. Most urgent care visits are covered with a specialist or urgent care co-pay (typically $30-$75). We collect co-pays at the time of service.
In-Network vs. Out-of-Network: Valley Urgent Care is in-network with most major insurers. In-network visits generally cost you less. If we're out-of-network for your plan, we'll provide you with a detailed receipt to submit for reimbursement.
Authorization Requirements: Most urgent care visits don't require prior authorization. However, some HMO plans may have specific requirements. Call us ahead of time if you're unsure—we're happy to help verify.
Medicare Patients: We proudly serve Medicare beneficiaries. Your visit is typically covered under Medicare Part B with your standard 20% coinsurance after meeting your deductible.
